Parsimony

The simplest answer is likely the most correct one.

Or is it?

Maybe we’ve just become so used to accepting the simplest answer that we can’t understand complex answers any more. Maybe we’ve been severed from reality by Occam’s Razor?

Okay, okay, okay, okay. Let’s go with Postmodernism. Let’s say that everything’s a sea of information, with the relevant information being signal and the irrelevant being noise. Are we lowering the Signal-to-Noise ratio with all this silence? Are we decreasing it with our ambivalence? And would those goddamn Grand Narratives that everyone’s been so anxious about please walk all Lazarus-like through the grave-yard of contemporary thought already?

This is a beginning. What comes after that which came after modernism? Where do we go from here?
